Since 1977, Manufacturas Mendavia has been designing and manufacturing bearings for sliding doors and windows.

Our product range has expanded significantly, including straight-cut, perimeter, thermal break, aluminum-wood, and PVC series.

The company is founded, dedicated to the manufacturing and production of hardware for aluminum joinery, through the joint efforts of Javier, Luis, Rosa Mari, and other family members.

Yes. We manufacture custom bearings for all types of aluminum or PVC profiles. We adapt to the specifications of each sliding joinery system.

We recommend using bearings from our E and ER series. Although they include parts in zamak, these are treated with white zinc plating + sealing of 8 microns, which improves resistance to saline environments. The salt fog tests conducted by Ensatec were successfully passed without issues.

Yes. We have testing benches to test aluminum bearings subjected to loads in different opening and closing cycles. The tests are conducted according to the UNE-EN 13126-15:2019 standard.

Depending on the use and weight of the aluminum joinery (sliding window or door), we mount needle bushings or ball bearings, in all their versions.

The weight supported depends on the type of bushing and the bearing housing. We have conducted tests with loads of up to 240 kg on bearings for aluminum sliding doors and large windows.

For aluminum sliding window profiles or systems with thermal break (RPT), thermoplastic wheels or zamak wheels with thermoplastic covers are commonly used. We also offer injected zamak bearings, which, thanks to their design, do not compromise the thermal break.
